Matthew 7:13
Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it.
You only have two choices. This is why Christ commands you to enter through the narrow gate. If you refuse, only the wide gate remains as an option. Your decision will not be an easy one unless you train your mind to think like Christ’s. For His very reasoning to avoid the narrow gate will be your natural attraction to it. The gate is wide and the way is broad. Choosing the wide gate will always be more comfortable than choosing the narrow. When you choose the wide gate, you’ll never be alone.
Have you forgotten that Christ had no one with Him when He paved the narrow road for you? Even the Father turned His head when Jesus died for your sins. And now you choose comfort over difficulty, company over sacrifice. Who are you living for? To whom do you run when the voices take two separate ways? When you choose the wide, you disgust the Lord.
Open your eyes. Take in the beauty of the narrow. Do you even see it! It was laid down with sweat and with blood. It was fashioned by the body of Christ so that you might experience the salvation of the Lord. There are two gates behind your computer chair. Which one will you walk through today? Are you even looking for it?
