Just as a quick update, the Lord has already answered a big prayer for Kristy and I. I was very worried about talking to my boss about moving to North Carolina, and I wanted to talk to him about the possibility of working long-distance for him. (I do web design and marketing.) I talked with him yesterday, and it went really well. He's seriously considering letting me stay on working for him! Praise the Lord! I really didn't think that was much of an option and seriously considered not bringing it up, but the Lord knew what he was doing. That (Lord-willing) will fill one of the biggest pieces of the puzzle in our relocation to the Raleigh area. Thanks for all your prayers. Here's proof that God listens and answers. 🙂
By the way, if you are in the praying mood 😉 I would also appreciate prayer for applying to grad school. I am applying to NCSU for their Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (hopefully, for their Screenwriting track). Anyway, the deadline for everything being in is Tuesday, May 15. I'm not sure if everything is going to make it in on time–so if you could just pray for that and that I would get accepted, if that's God's will. Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. Once we get to Raleigh, you can expect a lot more changes, updates, etc. to this site. As it is, I have a very limited timeframe to work on DD.com. 🙂
Oops, did I say May 15? My, that was two months ago. 😉 I meant July 15. (Thanks, Glenn.)
Just as a praise update, I wanted to say that the Lord is sooo cool. He truly does "work out all things together for the good of those who love Him."
I was worried about finding a job when we get to Raleigh, but I'm going to be able to keep the same job I have right now (I'm a webdesigner) and work from home!!! That was totally beyond my expectation and really takes a lot of pressure off.
The Lord has also provided housing for us in the past couple days–we have an apartment lined up in the same complex as Glenn and Kristie and it's bigger and cheaper than our current apartment!!!
Finally, we will be sharing a moving truck with Todd and Carolina, which means we both save mucho bucks, another huge blessing.
The Lord has just shown me so much in the past couple weeks that all I have to do is seek His Kingdom first and "all these things" will be added unto me. I don't have to worry about what I will wear and what I will eat–the Lord provides for all living creatures, why would I be any different. All He asks is that I pursue Him and His purposes and leave the rest to Him. Praise God for His faithfulness and thanks for all your prayers, guys!
