Isaiah 41:10
‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
It would seem the more advanced our society becomes the farther away from reality we get. Advances in technology create worlds where there is little or no need for human touch our companionship. People can live their entire lives and never see their natural parent because of divorce, their grandparents because of divisions in life or even where milk comes from or how tomatoes are grown. How far do we have to go away from others and life itself before we realize our desperate needs for real relationships? Culturally we have become a people who get lost in a sea of people all around us.
I am sure the idea of loneliness has been around since the Garden of Eden and God always filled that void with something that was perfect and complete and today is no different. Everyone of us need to hear encouraging words from others and feel as though our lives matter in all of the chaos we seem to live in. God has given us the way that encourages us even when we feel the most alone.
