Lamentations 3:22-24
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself,”The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.”
Dear God,
Forgive me for the way that I have ignored You. Forgive me for spending so little time with You. I continually long for the day that I will not worry, hurt, or sin. Yet, I constantly do all three. I make resolutions against certain habits. I promise to watch less television, complain less often, and to no longer leave my clothes on the floor. I long to read Your Word, speak Your name to others, and spend more time in prayer. Yet, with all these goals, I find no resolution. I find that I am not strong enough to resolve them on my own. I need You Lord. I understand the limitations of my own self. I understand that I can do nothing without You. I need your help. It seems that I can’t even give my problems over to You on my own. Help me to relinquish control to You. I need You Lord.
Nonetheless, I continually thank You that I am not consumed. I thank You that no matter how long the day, the week, or the year, You are still here; You are still in control and You are still God. I praise You for who You are. I thank You that Your compassions never fail me. I praise You for the morning. I thank You that You are faithful to me. I praise You for causing the sun to rise everyday. I know that I need no one else but You. You are my portion… my only portion. I pray that I may wait on You Lord. I pray that You would give me patience and confidence in Your ways.
Lord, deliver me from the evil one. Do not allow the father of all lies to discourage my spirit. It is You, O Lord, that has saved me from hell, and it is You my God, that will protect me from the enemy’s hand. I praise You because “greater are You who is in me, then he who is in the world.” I thank You because You say, “Have no fear.” You have “already overcome the world.” I praise You for delivering me from hell, and from the devil who will dwell there. I praise You for it is You that I trust.
not a bad reading but a bit Churchy in speak. Prayer to God from His children should be more conversation not oration. Lose the Church speak and the message is great. God bless
