Handcrafted with Love

Psalm 139:13
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

When I see a newborn baby, I am in awe. Their tiny eyes seem to stare in wonder at me as their soft little hands squeeze around my finger. I love to listen to them coo and watch them kick their legs about when they see or experience something new. As I look at them I think to myself, “Could there be anything more perfect in all of the world?”

Human life is the most precious of all of God’s creations and I can’t help but think that He looks on each of us with the same wonder I experience every time I look at a baby. We are His masterpiece! He knew us from the point of our conception. He was there for our first breath, our first smile, our first tooth. He heard us speak our first word and went with us on our first day of school. He has felt our every heartache and rejoiced in every success. He knows our every thought and desire and has been with us through it all.

God completed His creation with man; making him in His own image. Every one of us is beautiful in the eyes of the Lord because we have been made by His own hand. As you go through the day, remember how special you are to the Him and find confidence in the fact that you are the most spectacular of all of His creation.
