Isaiah 43:18-19
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
What is this new thing that God wants to do in you?
John 10:10 says that the devil only comes to kill, steal, and destroy. While Jesus came that you might have life, and have it in abundance, the devil only wants to steal from you. One of the ways he does this is by keeping you focused on your past. God commands the opposite. He says, “Forget the former things! Do you not perceive what I’m now doing? He wants you to be free!
The new thing that God wants to do in you is to give you a better life. He doesn’t promise that the new will always be easier than the past, but you can trust that it will always be better for you. If you want to have the new thing in your life today, the old has got to go! God says to you…
