Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
God wants all of you. God wants your whole week; not just your Sunday mornings. God wants your whole house, not just one room. He doesn’t just want one tiny little corner of your life. He wants it all.
Psalm 91 talks about dwelling in God’s presence. To dwell means: to live in; to remain; to stay. Webster’s dictionary defines it as: to abide as a permanent resident. Your home is called your dwelling place. Dwelling in God’s presence means that you don’t just visit Him on Sunday mornings. Christianity is not meant to be reserved for Sunday mornings!
The reason many believers have little or no victory in their lives is simple. They won’t take God out of their Sunday morning box’. They go to church, sing all the songs, yell HALLELUJAH at the right times, but the rest of their week stays the same. You could almost call them Sunday morning saints, Monday morning sinners’.
Take God out of your Sunday morning box. Don’t just reserve God for Sundays. He wants every part of your week, not just one-day. Don’t act one way on Sundays and a totally different way the rest of the week. Don’t just act unchristian with your unchristian friends, simply because you don’t want to stand out in the crowd. Allow God to infiltrate every part of your life, not just your Sunday mornings. Invite God to be Lord of your whole life, not just part of it. Don’t leave God in the parking lot at church on Sundays!
