I just “Stumbled Upon” BibleMap.org. It’s a pretty neat resource, allowing you to select a chapter in the Bible and read through it. The names of locations within your text are then converted into hyperlinks. When you click the link, a large satellite image of the location is displayed in the frame next to behind the passage your reading (ESV or KJV).
I only spent a couple of minutes on the site, but found it somewhat addicting. Because BibleMap.org is only in beta mode, there will be new features added on a regular basis. One example is their events category. Right now, you can only choose from Paul’s missionary journeys, but I’m sure this will be expanding in the near future. This resource is powered by Google Maps.
