Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
You must repent. To continue in your sins after being captured by His grace is unacceptable. It’s harmful to your relationship, its rude, and its foolish. It’s against the will of God.
Repentance is required. It’s a characteristic of the kingdom of heaven… And that kingdom is at hand. It’s here and its coming. It’s the presence of the Savior, the glory of the Father, and the unity of the saints.
You are its subjects; among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality. There must be no hatred or bitterness. Jealousy, disobedience and fear must be abolished. There can be no tears… There can be no sin.
This eternal life, this kingdom of heaven, this beulahland demands that you turn from your sins today. You must leave them in the crown of thorns, in the spear that pierced His side. You must leave your sins at the foot of the cross. A failure to do so is a failure to repent. And without repentance, there can be no salvation.
