Even Lions Grow Weak

Psalm 34:8-10
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

If you seek God with everything that is in you, He will richly provide you with everything you need in life. You may not always have everything that you want, but you will have what you need. That’s all that matters.

Even the lions will grow weak and hungry. Lions are one of the highest animals on the food chain, and one of the most powerful. Yet even a very noble creature like a lion will grow hungry. But…if you remain in God’s presence, you will never be without anything you need.

The key to this is believing that God will provide. This is one thing that I still have trouble with. I know in my head that God will provide me with everything I need, but I often have trouble believing it with my heart. God will provide everything I need, so I don’t have to worry about it anymore.

I used to have major panic attacks over this very topic. I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t think. I would shake, I would worry, I would fret… I was also miserable because of it. I didn’t understand that I could trust God with everything. That I could ask Him for what I needed, and if I believed, I would receive!

Read Matthew 7:7-11. Verse 7 says this: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

All you have to do is ask and believe!
