Who can trust that when we surrender to the Lord that it is the real deal? The good news is that Jesus accepts our willingness no matter how shallow it is. Remember John and James telling Jesus that they could drink the cup Jesus drank? They did not realize what they were saying. Same with us. We don't really realize what surrender really means. Jesus just accepts us as ignorant as we are. In other words, our surrender is never perfect and it doesn't have to be but it must be sincere. I surrender Lord but make it real in me. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. Without Me, He says, you can do nothing.
