Acts 2:23, 24
This Man, delivered up by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. And God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.
Praise God for the power of the resurrection. We should never forget that if it weren’t for the powerfulness of Christ’s resurrection, His life would have ended with the powerlessness of the cross. Satan’s grip on humanity’s soul was not broken with the death of our Lord, but rather, with His resurrection on the third day. This is why we celebrate Easter; this is why we have access to an eternal existence with God the Father.
My fellow Christian, do not be deceived by the Devil. He has no control over you as long as you are a child of the living King. At one point in time, we were all born into sin; we were imprisoned to death. We were under the authority of the devil, and had no communication with God the Father. Our lives would have forever remained in this state of being if the Gospel of Christ had ended with His death on the cross. Death, however, was no match for the Son of God. Not even death could hold Him who created life… it was impossible for Him to be held in its power. “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death” (Romans 8:1). God loved His creation to such an extent that He sent His only Son to die for our sins. It wasn’t His death, however, that has set us free, but the power of His resurrection! This only is true, however, for those that have placed their faith in Christ.
Are you a believer? Have you entered into a relationship with God the Father through Christ Jesus, His Son? Or do you still live day by day in a state of eternal death? There is no life outside of the resurrection of our Lord. You are not powerful enough to overcome this spiritual state of decay on your own. Only Christ, the Creator of the Universe, was able to overcome this death. Only by accepting your inadequacies and imperfection, and by placing your faith in Christ Jesus will you ever be raised from the dead. “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you” (Romans 8:11). I pray that you would not wait any longer to make this decision. John 3:18 says, “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” What are you waiting for?

It's a great day for the race. I just wish more individuals would open their eyes long enough to acknowledge the fact that they're still in it.
