Psalms 111:1,3,4
Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart. Splendid and majestic is His work and His righteousness endures forever. He has made His wonders to be remembered.
As I gazed up at the sky last night, I thought to myself, “My God is truly amazing!” And then I began to wonder when the last time was that I actually stopped to enjoy God’s creation. I sleep in my house with all of the windows and shades closed. I walk out my door and take a sidewalk to get to my car. As I drive to work I drive only on paved roads and then I proceed to get out of my car, onto a sidewalk and into the building where I work. After a full day inside, I take the same sidewalk to my car and come back home again. In all of my daily events I hardly take a second to notice the world around me.
I saw a quote stitched to a throw pillow once that said, “The heart is closest to God in a garden.” As I stopped to ponder what that meant and decide if I agreed with it, I realized that Adam and Eve lived in a garden. Perhaps God intended us to know and understand Him through living among the works of His hands. Having proposed this, it is no wonder society seems to have forgotten their Creator. We are so protected from the elements, we don’t need Him and we are so removed from the beauty of His creation, that we forget Him. All one has to do is observe the vastness of the sky to know that the Creator of the universe is no wimpy God. The sun, the constellations and the weather are just a few examples of the mighty power found in Him. And yet His gentleness is revealed to us through the delicate construction of a flower or a snowflake. His love for beauty is evident while watching a hummingbird fly or a deer dance across a meadow.
I challenge you to take advantage of this day to get reacquainted with the personality of your Creator

It's a great day for the race. I just wish more individuals would open their eyes long enough to acknowledge the fact that they're still in it.
