Hebrews 1:10-12
You, Lord, in the beginning did lay the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of Thy hands;
They will perish, but Thou will remain.

Life is progressive. We all have a history. We all have a future. Birth is very similar to being shot from a slingshot. You fly through life, with only a split second to grab the things that impress you the most.
You wait for birthdays, college, a good job, and your wedding day, but all this will pass. You will spend your entire life collecting things, building wealth, and making friends, but all this will pass. Job said it best: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord (Job 1:21).
