Dear Matt,
As an ex-athlete and new Christian I was deeply touched by your article. My boyfriend was that arrogant start football player and I was that confused cheerleader leaning on our relationship for purpose and meaning. I only wish that someone with your passion for Christ and burden for athletes had crossed my path earlier in life. My heart aches for the jocks who seem to have it all together but feel confused and empty inside. Although this is not an area of ministry that I feel a burden for, I have an incredible friend who is. Her name is Dawn Burch and sports are the name of her game. She is completely devoted to reaching athletes for Christ and has every gift needed to do so. She is charismatic, intelligent and has an outrageous sense of humor. People are naturally drawn to her and are even more impressed with her knowledge of sports, not to mention the Bible. Wow, I feel that you two could make an amazing team for God. Listen, consider it and pray about it.

God Bless,
This is Matt here. Glenn, I'm happy that you are able to gain something from the article. I pray that God will use it to reach high school athletes at many schools.

I played high school basketball, baseball and football. I played one year of golf and one year of soccer during high school also.
