About Us

Abstracts

Any unsolicited articles ideas should first be submitted in the form of an abstract. Send us a one-paragraph summary of your article idea, a brief outline, and an estimated article length. Be sure to include your name and how we can reach you.

Submissions

Send your article submissions as an attached Word document. Be sure to include your name and a two-three sentence bio. Submissions to Deeper Devotion Magazine are on a donation basis. Article length should average between 600 and 800 words; if your article is much longer, please do the cutting for us. Articles will be edited for length, grammar, content, formatting, style and tone.

Other Guidelines

Keep your paragraphs short, as long paragraphs often lose online readers. Use paragraph or section headings whenever possible.

When referencing Scripture, please include the translation you used.

If you are unsure about our stance on doctrinal issues, please read our Statement of Faith. In general, we are not interested in articles with questionable or controversial doctrine.

Bible studies are great, but we have an overabundance of them. If you desire to be published more quickly, be creative. Your article does not have to mention God or Jesus explicitly, as long as it is honoring to the Lord. Tell a story, relate a learning experience, or present a “How To.”

Copyright & Reprinting Details

You retain the copyright for articles you author. Articles that appear in Deeper Devotion Magazine may be republished by the author in any form so long as Deeper Devotion is acknowledged as the original place of publication.

Material published elsewhere will generally not be considered for publication in Deeper Devotion Magazine.
